The stator is made of two tubes, an exterior tube (shell) and an interior tube (stator shell), that are welded to the flanges. The stator is pre-filled with a mixture of resin and quartz or resin and alumina. The quartz or the alumina facilitate the heat dissipation through the transmission of the heat of the windings to the shell. The resin blocks the quartz grains or alumina grains. For electrical reason, the thickness of the inner liner is only 0.15-0.20 mm.
